“Grumpy Monk” Dark Sour Patersbier

The Grumpy Monk is a dark hoppy sour crafted from the second runnings of our Black Dog Quad. In order to achieve an ABV of 11.7% in the Quad two brews are made, with the densest, most high gravity half of each batch being grouped together to create the Quad and the second, lower gravity half grouped together to create a “Patersbier” which in this case is the Grumpy Monk! Lactobacillus and hops were added to make this medium bodied sour ale. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated.
