Just so you know while we cannot bring any Red Collar brews to you while you’re gorging on ribs at Ribfest, you are more than welcome to bring the ribs to the Collar and enjoy the best of both worlds! Thanks to all who attended the Summer Solstice BBQ & Cask Night! Dwayne absolutely nailed the burgers and the cask was drained in two hours. A special shout out to Spruce Goose & Chop N Block who provided us with the local, grass fed beef.
Be sure to keep your eyes pealed for the next specialty night, as we are looking to host another in early July.
This Thursday is the opening night for our Hops & Hounds art exhibition. The social will run from 7PM-930PM with a beer and drink special running. Maybe even that interview… Also, be sure to tune into CBC Daybreak this Thursday for an interview with several of the artists as well as Red Collar’s own Monica.
On Canada Day we will be opening earlier to facilitate hydration, be it through pints, growler fills or bottle sales. We will also be debuting a brand new menu featuring many locally sourced ingredients.
Speaking of local, Red Collar is proud to be a part of this year’s Farms2Chefs celebration on Sunday, July 26th. We are pleased to be working along side a multitude of local restaurants and businesses to celebrate the wealth of delicious food and drink found in our community. Red Collar’s JP and Brody from Spruce Goose & Chop N Block took to the Midday show yesterday to talk about the event and what our two companies do best. You can watch the video here.
Summer is here and we figure there is no better way to celebrate than with some meat, bread and beer! Saturday we’re hosting a Summer Solstice BBQ and Cask Night. Dwayne will be putting together some handmade, charcoal BBQ’d burgers on brioche buns while David will be unleashing a one-off, mystery cask. We’re kicking the night off at 5PM and it is first come, first served while quantities last. See you then!

It has recently come to our attention that some bottle depots are not accepting Red Collar bottles. Although we have been remitting the mandatory bottle deposit to the Liquor Distribution Branch, they failed to inform Encorp (company who controls bottle returns) that our bottles are registered for sale in BC.
Long story short, Encorp has brought this oversight to the attention of the LDB and all BC depots should be accepting our bottles in the very near future.
We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Keep drinking craft, recycle your bottles, or better yet, start homebrewing and fill them yourselves!

Red Collar Brewing is pleased to announce the release of two new summer seasonals!
The White IPA is the ying to the yang of wheat beers and IPAs. Built upon the foundation of unmalted wheat, this beer was dry hopped three separate times with Ahtanum and Mosaic hops. The result is a refreshingly light beer with an abundance of berry and grapefruit aromas.
The Cascadian Lager (né IPL) pours a beautiful amber and golden colour. The typical lager crispness is augmented with a hefty dose of Amarillo and Centennial hops giving it a refreshing citrus aroma and taste.
Both these summer seasonals can be enjoyed at the Red Collar tasting room in Kamloops.
David and Thomas are hard at work today brewing a new batch of our Pale Ale. Last week they brewed a Hefeweizen and an IPL with a completely different hop bill. Come join us for a refreshing summer pint, as we’re currently pouring the Pale Ale, Azacca IPL and the Patersbier Copper Ale.

Next Tuesday is a Trivia Tuesday and, sadly, the last until the fall. With summer fast approaching and patio season on the horizon we figure that folks need to be revelling in the benefits of living in Kamloops rather than squabbling indoors. If the Canucks were polite enough to extend that invitation to you fine folk, why not us? Have no fear, Trivia Tuesdays will return once the season changes and the dark beers start to show themselves around the brewery.
